
Jewelry designer Karin Collins is once again participating in “Every BODY Is Beautiful”. This Online Fundraising Auction event is sponsored by the National Eating Disorders Association. It will run from November 1st through December 2nd, 2007 and will be hosted by music star Sara Evans. And I’m sure you are ready for some early holiday shopping for handmade items.
There’s is an assortment of fashionable items up for sale, including jewelry, clothing, tote bags, spa packages, beauty products, autographed collectibles, vacations, music, books, art including a trip to Tokyo for a week, a manicure in Beverly Hills, yoga classes in Seattle, an iPod Nano, an autograph/clothing package from singer Carrie Underwood, a customized guitar signed by Bo Diddley, a Disney Snow White animation cel, a weekend in Malibu, tickets to the Regis & Kelly show, and much much more….

Of course, we are very interested in Karin Collins SpoonFed Art handmade spoon pendants. She has donated three of her SpoonFed Art spoon pendants to the NEDA fundraising project, including an exclusive NEDA-commissioned one-of-a-kind necklace featuring the NEDA logo.

If you are familiar with Karin’s wearable art spoon necklaces - you know that they are made from actual spoons! And are very popular around the globe. I think it interesting that Karin originally started making them as a very personal art-oriented therapy to overcome a serious eating disorder she’d been battling for almost 20 years. Her jewelry is also interesting to me in that she uses an everyday object and refashions it to such an element of beauty.
